value of fender guitars
how can i find the value of my fender newporter guitar?

its a fender newporter, in very good condition. the man i got it from said it was a 72 or 73 model. but i cant find out, and i’d like to know. please help if you can.

From some reading I’ve done, it seems Fender stopped making the Newporter in 1971, but brought back the name later on for use on Japanese-made guitars. Look for a label inside the soundhole for where the guitar was made. If it’s USA, you’ve got the real thing. The first Newporters were introduced in 1965. Earlier models in excellent condition with the original case have sold in the $600-$700 range but I’ve also seen them go for $200-$300.

Whatever yours is, take care of it and the value will continue to increase over time.
