Gibson SG electric or battery?

So I play the guitar for 11 years and drums for about 8. I would say I am just good in both, but in my group, I am a drummer. I bought an electric (Simmons) for $ 599 to play in my apartment. In the 5 months I've had, not really play them. I was recording with them (which is terrible) but I have my recording speed. My friend has a brand new Gibson SG that he paid $ 1,000 for planning and negotiation of my battery. Both Gibson SG and Simmons drums are more recent. Should I? I'm leaning toward him. MQ: the famous guitarist using other guitars that Gibson SG Angus Young and Tony Iommi?

I accept the deal and the General Secretariat is better than the drum machine. Other famous players that have been SG Carlos Santana used (before going to the SPR), Pete Townsend (The Who), Jimmy Page (SG Double Neck) and me.
