Guitars and Amps and their brands?

I was wondering does it make a diffence if you hook a guitar up to a amp of the same brand. For example if you use a epiphone with a epiphone amp or fender with fender, ect. does it sound better then if you have a epiphone guitar with a fender amp or vise versa. I’m using this example because i’m trying to decide between Epiphone Blues Custom 30 and the Fender Blues Delxue and i have a Epiphone Les Paul.

yes it does in a lot of cases (only slightly) b/c fender for example designs (the electronics in ) their amps to work the clean channel for their single coils (pick ups) great clean channels on fenders btw, ( i still have mine)
as for your choices….i have both a marshall and a fender. both sound great w/ my strat and arch top. i prefer Marshall’s distortion to my fender, but often will set up the fender for the strat to play clean. GL on your choice.
