Would rust on a wheel well of a truck box cause it not to pass safety?
I just recently bought a truck and as far as I could tell it would pass safety mechanically and structurally, but I have one concern, on the wheel well of the box like on the very edge on the lip above the tire and a few inches up it has rusted right out, clear through the fender but that spot on that side and the other side of the truck are the only rust spots, so would this cause the truck to fail safety?
Different states have inspection rules concerning rust holes. Pennsylvania is really tough about body structure.
