tom delonge fender stratocaster

Can anyone recommend a guitar for rock music?
I currently use a Fender Stratocaster that is not mine, so I'm with the objective to get my own guitar because I prefer to earn my stuff. Anyway I am into rock music along the lines of Angels and Airwaves, Blink-182, Sum 41, Green Day and the odd bit of metal. As a fan of Blink-182 was tempted to get an Epiphone Tom Delonge, but the signature I have realized that is too much of a guitar specialists for a student and not very versatile. I'm thinking about a Les Paul, because I heard that is best suited for this type of music that Strats and offer some versatility. Any recommendations would be great. Thank you very much in advance and Merry Christmas
It really depends on your budget in my opinion. An Epiphone Les Paul is a great option. It sounds great and is very good. You can get a decent one for less than € 200. Try the link: But http://www.google.co.uk/products?q=epiphone+les+paul&hl=en&price1=110.00&price2=200.00&lnk=prsugg then, in my opinion the best guitar for the metal sound of rock is an ERP. They are usually about £ 300 if. Depends on what you want to invest in. http://www.guitarandampshop.co.uk/acatalog/PRS_SE_Series_Guitars.html http://www.dv247.com/invt/39700 (You might want to try before you buy in a music store) Ibanez is a good brand too. It sounds incredible and is available in music stores. Http: / / www.rockingrooster.co.uk/ http://www.google.co.uk/products?q=Ibanez+RGR321EX+&btnG=Search+Products&hl=en&show=dd product_info.php? PID = 750 A Epiphone Les Paul is good though, very versatile tone, in my opinion. Hope that helps
