What price would you pay for an early 1970′s Fender Jazz Bass neck with Precision Bass body?

The salesman I bought it from told me it was a 1965 Jazz Bass…but informants on eBay have told me it is a 1970′s guitar; and a combination of P-bass body and Jazz-bass neck. Take a look at it, and let me know what price I should be asking. Some “guitar expert” wrote me an email immediately saying he’d take it from me for $1000…which makes me think I could get a lot more for it. He’s probably trying to get a killer deal for himself since I don’t know anything about guitar pricing. Thanks for the help.
things only sell for what the market will bear. if a grand is a profit to you, why not sell?
