How I can name my bass guitar?

I just got a low of a flea market … FOR 8 DOLLARS! The only thing missing is the nut. My only problem is that there is no check on it … anywhere. It is a 60 out of 70 was the imitation fender jazz bass. How I can find out what brand?

A low of $ 8! Feedback! You may have some information about the manufacturer on the base of the neck where the screws to the body, but most imitations not contain many clues as to its origin. If it is an imitation Fender Jazz, however, a Fender style replacement nut will probably work for you. You can have to sand a bit to fit perfectly, but you can get a replacement nut for a few dollars online or a little more in any guitar shop to make repairs. If the nut slot is not clean, use a razor blade to remove any excess glue. Then all you have to do is paste substitution in place with epoxy or Super Glue and restring the bass, because the string tension remains the bolt back in place while the glue dries.
