need some advice and help from bassists in the know?

i plan on customizing a jazz bass by fender and the only thing ive been thinking about lot latley is i wanna put in a single coil P pickup not a split just a single like on the sting sig or the 50′s reissue do you think ill have any problems electricly?

If it’s just a straight install, you find reference material you can follow, and you know how to solder, you shouldn’t have any trouble.

But if you haven’t installed pickups yourself, I’d recommend letting someone who works on guitars do it for you. Most are VERY reasonable.
