Fender-Squier Affinity Strat (SSS) or Fender-Squier Affinity Strat (HSS)?

Basically, is there any big difference between the SSS and HSS besides different pickups? It’ll be my first guitar and I mainly want to play alternative rock.
The difference is the pickups, period.
The humbucker will make for tone with less noise, as well as being (arguably) better-suited to distorted tones.
Go with the HSS… it will be more versatile, tone-wise.
