off road fender flares

JKS Quick Disconnects are replacement swaybar end-links that allow you to quickly disconnect your vehicle’s swaybar. Disconnecting (or in extreme cases completely removing) the swaybar is beneficial for driving conditions that involve extremely uneven terrain such as off-road. Disconnecting and reconnecting the swaybar for off-road and street driving can be a cumbersome task, but it becomes less of a chore with JKS Quick Disconnects.
For safety purposes, vehicles made for street driving will have a swaybar. The swaybar is a device that torsionally couples the left and right front wheels via the chassis. This reduces body roll and sway which helps to prevent the vehicle from tipping over after abrupt maneuvering such as a sharp turn at a high speed.
As stated, swaybars were designed to keep your vehicle stable while driving on pavement which is fine for vehicles that will always drive on pavement. The downside is that they limit suspension travel while driving off-road. Any experienced off-roader can tell you that sufficient suspension travel and axle articulation are essential for off-road driving. Axle articulation is necessary to keep your tires in contact with the ground which results in better traction. By disconnecting the swaybar, the axle will be free to articulate more.
JKS Quick Disconnects function just like factory swaybar end-links when they’re connected. They utilize a two-piece design. The upper half is installed on the swaybar; the lower half on the axle. Where the two halves meet is a heavy-duty male-to-female connection that secures together with a stainless steel lynch pin. When locked together, JKS Quick Disconnects offer safe highway operation of the vehicle. Once off-road (and with the vehicle parked on a level surface), the simple removal of the lynch pin from each Quick Disconnect will allow the axle to be freed from any constraints and thereby able to articulate more.
It’s important to understand that a vehicle with its swaybar disconnected will handle noticeably different than one that’s still intact. You must reconnect the JKS Quick Disconnects before your vehicle returns to pavement.
