Well since you’re a new to the guitar, the best thing to do is buy a guitar that’s at budget price to be honest. I wouldn’t buy a guitar that is really expensive unless you’re buying it just for display. Fender have a cheaper range of guitars under the brand name Squier, I would go for one of these since you’re just starting. This is because, a lot of people buy really expensive guitars that are modified for experienced players and then these people just end up giving up for what ever their reason. I wouldn’t buy such an expensive guitar unless you’ve been playing for 4 or 5 years, have a good knowledge and understanding of a guitar and know how to treat one before you spend so much money on one. The chances are that you’ll buy it, and it could probably end up damaging it, which could take a lot of money away from it’s original value and have some difficulty selling it if you don’t have any use for it. This is so common and is a highly regretable situation, so I wouldn’t make that same mistake.
Spend a reasonable amount just to start of with, then when you get more experienced, then buy a Fender or Gibson.
However, when you’re buying a guitar and you want a sound that suits you, it all depends on what pickups the guitar has.
You’re into metal and hard rock, distorted music, you want guitar with a humbucker(s). If you’re wishing to play jazz, indie, rock or into clean, then you want a single coil pickup(s).
Most Fender and Squier guitars hold single coil pickups, just to let you know. I would leave to display of the guitar completely to you prefer.
