Learning guitar?

Hello all, this is my second question, Currently i have an ambition to learn a musical instrument, namely guitar. This is more of a series of basic questions, almost like an FAQ fourm. As in most fourms, i ask you to be kind and serious. Now, for the questions
1.) how hard is it to play guitar
2.) Is learning guitar worth it
3.) If i shall learn guitar should i get an acoustic or electric (i half made up my mind about this already, im not very fond of the sound of acoustics)
3.) Should i learn guitar or bass first?
4.) Should i look for a teacher, or just use a book
5.) What should i look for in a guitar (i have a budget of $150 please don’t say buy this $3,000 Fender)
6. Is this at all good? http://www.guitarcenter.com/Squier-by-Fender-Bullet-Electric-Guitar-with-Tremolo-104494315-i1385540.gc
7. Is there any “good” cheaper amp for around $30
Thank you for any awnsers or feedback, Remeber 10 points to the best, so think twice before hitting that enter key!

1) At first your hands will probably not go where they should, but with practice, like anything else you want to do in life,it will become eaiser and eventually, you may not even have to look at what your hands are doing.
2) Yes, it is worth it and if nothing else becomes of it, you will have made yourself happy for taking on the challenge. If you approach it in the sense of wanting to learn something new each day, then it will give you that.
3) If your lifestyle is that of playing at home alot, then get the electric. A small inexpensive acoustic is helpful if you travel somewhere(motel)and/or want to do some writing out in the woods/mountains,ect.
3a) Everyone is different, so sit and fiddle with both and see what you are drawn to naturally. Usually people who play guitar can play bass and it works the other way around too.
I play both, but not at the same time, they are a compliment to each other. Bass players get more gigs.
4)Are you a self starter/motivated to practice each day and like to discover things on your own? If not, the right teacher can help develop in you what is needed to become the best you can be. I teach, but I don’t believe in perpetual lessons the rest of my students life. I give them the basics, help keep their interest going and let them find their own way from there.
5) How does the guitar feel in your hands? And it needs to stay in tune. I’ve found really nice guitars at various pawn shops.Take someone who knows what to look for if you go this route. I still have my jc penny global les paul copy I bought in 1979 and it is still in good, playable condition. So, sometimes you come across a good guitar where you’d least expect it. Sometimes on ebay, more experienced players have come across a quality guitar from a reputable seller for someone just starting out, but I would rather play it in a store first before buying a guitar online.
6) Yes, a nice starter guitar, has a warranty, and guitar center can assist you if there are playabilty issues.
7)Sometimes at the pawn shops/used amps at music stores you can find these smaller amps, but take someone who knows amps with you. If you do this, make sure the amp is turned on cold, meaning, don’t consider one that is already on and the salesperson is pushing it on you. Sometimes on ebay you can find a smaller amp from a reputable seller.
