Mexican Fender Strat Selling Price?

I have a 2001 Fender Strat Mexican made. I got it for 280 on eBay. I went to guitar center and looked at the other strats made in mexico and they ranged fron 300-600. How can you determine how much its worth? Can you just look at the serial number or what?

Depends on condition and if you’ve changed anything e.g. pickups. If it’s got the seymour duncan pick ups your looking around 500.
