$300 dollars for a Gibson Les Paul Standard, is this fake?

i found a gibson les paul for $300 on the internet. I thought to myself, this is too good to be true. so i started doing research on Fake les pauls. but I can’t seem to find a part that shows that it’s fake, can some of you guitar specialists tell me if it’s real or not

It’s been a several decades since new LP’s went that cheap. It’s got to be a knockoff. The “designed by Gibson” labels on the pickups and the fact that the seller is in Bejing, China where trademark infringement is of no major concern may be your only overt clues.

Genuine trim pieces such as truss rod covers can be bought from Gibson so they’re of little help in identifying fakes.

If you’re buying from the US, it might not make it through customs if it is counterfeit.
