What is a good bass guitar with a lot of punch?
I play a Fender Jazz Bass right now and I love it but I’m just looking for something different… What is a good bass that preferably could be left handed and 5 stringed but doesn’t really matter?
Well, 5 string is needed if you want to play anything lower than an E. (other than to tune down) I’d agree if you had no intention in playing anything other than pop rock and have no intentions on making creative compositions, but i think your better than that. My bassist has a six-string ibanez BTB.
If i were to get a new 5 or 6 string and money was no issue, i’d say a warwick, neckthrough.
Otherwise Earnie Ball makes some nice 5 strings for a decent price, but you still have to pay for quality.
If you want punch just make sure it’s active and has good tone control.
