Fender Jaguar for metal?

i guess i’m just lookin for a pat on the back, but does anyone besides me think its awesome/funny/original that during my days as a metalcore player, my main guitar was a fender jaguar (with a duncan sh-6 distortion pickup in the bridge and a fender dragster pickup in the neck)? i think its awesome. i also used a telecaster with an invader.
i’m sorry i wasn’t clear, while it is vintage, it’s not an original. it’s a japanese vintage, 1983 MIJ. I did haveta do some routing to put in the humbucker, but i’m never planning on selling it :] the pain in the ass was finding a pickguard to fit it.

Any guitar can play metal and it is the guitar player that decides that. That Jaquar is worth a few dollars today. What year is it ??

With a Duncan pickup, the sound should have been quite explosive and with some bite to it.
