history of fender stratocaster

what should I tell my dad? What should I do?
hi i’m only 13 and would really like it if someone helped me. My dad grew up with music and loved it soooo much. When I was only 2 he bought a fender stratocaster just to display. When I soon became older I decided to take music lessons at my school, so I did. I loved and my dad was so happy. In the last three years he has token me to several concerts and tough me the whole history of music. I love music and now play his stratocaster. I think hes expecting me to become a musician. I’d love to one it sounds awsome. But recently in the last year in a half i’ve started skateboarding alot trying to get sponsored but my dad seemed to avoid it. I would love to have skateboarding as my career. But my dad wants me to be a musician. I love skateboarding, but I love my dad even more.
What should I do……..Tell my dad i want to be a skateboarder
and follow my dreams OR follow his dreams and become a musician. Help please. Thank You
my dad always said ‘its not about the money’
well i think you should follow your dreams and he should respect that you want to be a skateboarder and not a musician. And if you truly want to be a skateboarder you can be one and keep playing for fun you best hobby. You make your life what you want it to be not what other people want you to be.
