Are gibson SG’s any good?

I’m thinking of getting this SG

Hi, I had a look @ the SG Special and I’d suggest you have a look at the SG raw power which is $1 less, but seems to have a whole lot more features – the slim taper neck is sooooooooooo much nicer to play and a lot quicker, the ’57 classic pups will give you the tone you want, and if you want some extra drive, route the centre position and shove in something like a Seymour Duncan Invader bridge pup. the SG raw power is at http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/SG/Gibson-USA/SG-Raw-Power.aspx
