gibson thunderbird iv bass

Regarding Fender Bass guitars…?
I’m interested in picking up a Fender Precision bass for my collection. I want it to have pressence and also be a practical instrument to play with. I’m not a flashy elitist type (for instance, I’d choose my Epiphone Thunderbird Pro-IV over a Gibson Thunderbird any day) but Having played a Japanese Fender P-Bass I can tell the MASSIVE difference compared to my my old Squier P-Bass. What I’d like to know is if there’s any distinct advantage to getting a ‘Highway One’ over a standard Mexican P-Bass. Also, I like the look of the ’50′s P-Bass’. I’d love your opinions!!!!
Honestly, there’s no advantage with any of the P basses. They’re all great!
It’s just up to you to pick which one you like the feel, sound, and appearance of.
