Guitar Brands? Extinct?

Some of my favorite guitars which I own are brands that I believe are extinct. One is a six-string acoustic by a brand named Global. The previous owner of it says that she bought it out of a catalog. Its only special feature is that it has a bird that looks like either a bird or a pigeon, and it looks like a rip-off of a Gibson that I once saw. The other is a guitar from what I believe is a Japanese brand called Norma. It is a six-string, semi-hollowbody electric, sunburst colored. I was just wondering if anybody has anything similar, or knew what happened to these brands, because the only similar ones I can find only show up occasionally on ebay. God Bless!

Well Tombo is still in business (they made the Normas) but mainly do Harmonicas now and the Global guitars were sold I *believe* back in the 70′s at woolworths and Sears…dont think they’re still around tho. :)
