gibson standard traditional

What’s the quality on these guitars and how do they compare to a Gibson Les Paul Standard Traditional Pro?
So I’m still in love with the idea of getting a Gibson Les Paul, but I also don’t have a spare 2 grand to spend on a guitar, so I started looking around a bit more and liked the look of these 2, which are 1/3 the price of the LP.

I know that a lot of it is based on the player, but generally how do ESP and Schecters tend to sound, and how does their sound quality compare to a Gibson?
Thanks,
Nick
The sound is great on both. The Schecters usually have Duncan designed pickups. But the quality is lame. Schecters (I don’t really know about the ESP’s) bodies are made of bass wood or some really cheap wood and on both of my Schecters the strap buttons actually worked their way out of the wood. Not cool, especially when you’re on stage. The frets are stupid big, nothing like the feel of a Gibson. I’ve got 2 Gibson Les Pauls, and 2 Epiphone Les Pauls. I really like the sound AND quality of the Epi’s better than the Gibson. You can get a brand new Epi Les Paul for around $650 plus tax. Or you can go to this site ( www.meanstreak.biz) and probably pick one up for around $400 plus shipping! Gibson makes the Epiphones. Same damn guitar, better quality, same sound and a fraction of the price. You’re really missing out if you don’t buy one of these. I have the Zakk Wylde Les Paul Epi with EMG pickups. NOW THAT’S THE GUITAR I’D GET IF YOU DON’T MIND THE CRAZY FINISH ON IT!
