gibson standard faded
Should I get a Gibson faded SG special or a Fender Standard Stratocaster HSS Floyd Rose both are priced at 699?

It really depends on the style of music you play. I play a lot of pop rock and emo, and I own the Gibson. I find that it has a really crunchy sound because of the pickups, and it can have a really smooth clean tone. It has a beautiful shape and color, as well. But if you’re more of a Fender person, by all means, get the Fender. There’s a really nice Tele you can buy for the same price or a little higher called a Tele ’72 Deluxe. It’s a beautiful guitar, almost like the two of your choices combined into one. I’m honestly no guitar expert, though, as I’ve only been playing for three years. Hope I could help!
