Guitar help?

I am looking to buy an es 137 custom or supreme sg gibson guitar. I play all types of music but primarily jazz and hard rock. does anyone have these, which do I get? any other opinions on guitars I should get in that $2000 to $3000 range.

If you are looking to play jazz, then the thicker, smoother sound of the Les Paul humbucker pick ups will suit better. I played rock guitar, and found a stratocaster better because of the coiled pickups, but Les Paul is great for big, full-frequency notes / solos.
