How do I raise the Bridge Pickup Height on A Gibson Sg Special ?

You have a Tune-O-Matic bridge. These are adjusted with a thumb wheel. You can’t adjust individual string height, just raise or lower each end of the bridge. At either end of the bridge you’ll see a slotted screw or post which goes through the bridge and into some threads with a round thumb wheel. It’s actually the thumb wheel that holds the bridge at the desired height. Some Tune-O-Matic’s have an small set screw just to the rear of the adjustment threads which must be loosened before adjustment. You may want to relieve the string tension a little to make adjustment easier. You rotate the thumb wheel to obtain the desired height.
