Definately go with the Gibson. They are both great guitars, but the Gibson SG produces stronger, deeper sound because it has Humbucker pickups. The Fender has single pickups. It also depends on the type of music you play. If you use a lot of distortion, there is no better guitar for you than the Gibson. The Fender is better for Blues and Jazz.
