I am planning to build my own guitar, a couple of questions?
What wood would be good (not trying to rhyme) for a 70′s-esque overdriven tone (ZZ Top, Black Sabbath, AC/DC)?
I plan to madel it after either the Gibson Les Paul or SG, I know that the thickness of the body and whether it has a top makes a difference in the tone, which model should I do?
And last, I plan to put a P-90 in the Neck position and based off of my selected tone, what Humbucker would you suggest I put in the Bridge?
I you could help with any of these questions, please do.
its whatever you want. my suggestion would be to model it after an SG.
