Is this a good investment Gibson?

In a music store in my town, have a SG classic P-90 in it, a '64 model and that is played, but still very good … is all original! 2500 asking for the guitar and I'm very tempted to buy. Doing research on ebay I saw these quantities are different, but not exactly like the one shown as sold. I love how he plays the guitar and I want to keep, at least for a while. Does everyone that this thing is a good investment at this price?

As a fellow guitarist, the most I can say is that if you played and like the sound, go ahead. That said, I prefer the old models of guitars that are "vintage" because of the history attached to it, and a 64 SG with P-90 is something I definitely enjoy. But as long as you have money to buy it without endangering financial recommend it. And if you end up liking, there's always craigslist for sale.
