gibson sg 61 reissue price
For anyone that owns a Gibson SG 61′ Reissue…?
Hi,
I’ve been playing guitar for 4 years and Im interested in this guitar and i wanted to know (from people who currently own this guitar, or know alot about it) if it is a good guitar for its giant price ($1,899). Right now i have a very sucky fender squire strat and i know, its horrible. I know this gibson is alot better than my fender but from current owners can you please tell me the pros and cons of it?

I don’t go the 61′ reissue, but I got a 91′ standard and I love it! In the 1000+ range you’ll get anything better than a squire!!
Keep playing different guitars, try a Les Paul, and even try a Fender Telecaster. Depends on what kind of sound you want. I rigged my SG with EMG 81/85 pickups and have a Mesa Boogie Roadster to get that thick metal sound. Its pretty versitile too!
