What can I do to prevent rubbing my guitar finish off?
I just bought a brand new Gibson sg special exposed finish, and it cost me about 800 bucks. I’m a little worried because i saw this happen with my acoustic guitar which was also a semi-exposed finish and from my right arm, the one I strum with, where my arm made contact with the body of the guitar, I found that there was a shiny spot where it seems almost like I wore into the finish. Usually I’ll wear a short sleeved t-shirt, is it because of bare skin making contact? I don’t know if this is common, but i would really not like it to happen with my new sg. Any help would be very appreciated.
know what you mean, just got a guild d55 1700 bucks, but the only way I know of not getting any ware or scratches is not playing it, and that ain’t gonna happen, once the new wares off , you’ll feel differently
