Epiphone Les Paul Gibson Les Paul or?

Hello, I realize this question has been asked several times bagillion, but I am wondering in my situation personal. I'm looking to buy a Les Paul, but have not yet learned to play. I want a good guitar because not necessarily large they know they can be more than $ 2000. I kind've'm leaning towards getting an Epiphone Les Paul Custom, but I'm not sure if I have to pay that much for a good guitar today, or pay less now, but may pay more in the long-term research to develop level, they do not actually intend to learn to play. I hope to spend maybe about 1 to 2000? is too little? For and an amplifier, as my father is very old and does not even have an "impact" on it or w / e. Suggestions?

I Transparent Amber an Epiphone Les Paul Custom that I am very happy. I tried many different Epiphone Gibson and before I decided on this one because it was reasonably priced and I had to scrimp in tone or appearance. I paid about $ 650 for it. You can still run effects of a direct line rather than an effects loop, but you may have pre-amp for a good fit. If you really want a new amp, expect to pay about $ 300 for a small combo amp Fender Frontman 212R as Marshall or MG30FX.
