What do I need to Gibson or Epiphone guitar? Help!?

I have a guitar soon and I do not know where to get one of which is better I play rock, alternative, country, pop, songs and litsening easy. Gibson and Epiphone, are virtually identical. I have an Epiphone SG and far sounded very good. The only thing I notice is really quality. As a branch of Squier Fender, Epiphone is a branch of Gibson. At about the same guitar, in my opinion
