is the gibson les paul studio a good investment?
im going to be working over the summer to save up for a les paul and i found the studio,

color: alpine white with gold hardware
i want to know, in about like 20 years, will this guitar be worth some money? why i ask is because, i was at guitar center and one guy had a 30 year old les paul and he said that its worth about $15,000.
so is this going to be a guitar thats going to be worth about like $15k in 30 years or about $5?
and for those that ask, yes im going to be playing it and yes i already know how to play guitar.
It’s not a good investment. In general, things that gain dramatically in value over the years are things that when new were special models, limited editions, or top of the line models. The LP Studio is none of these; in fact, it’s one of the cheapest LP models currently available. This is never going to be a vintage classic – it’s destined to become a used guitar.
Something like this LP will probably go up in value:

…but even then there’s no guarantee. In any case, it’s foolish to assume that a fine musical instrument is going to be a good investment in comparison to all of the other investments out there.
Buy a guitar you like now and want to play now. Buy the best one you can afford and don’t worry about its eventual value. Good luck.
