gibson les paul special review
Is the Epiphone Les Paul Standard a good intermediate guitar?
I’ve been playing guitar for about a year, and I have been using an Epiphone Les Paul Special II ever since I started. It was good for beginner stuff, but now I think it’s time for me to upgrade to a better quality guitar. I’ve had my eye on the Epiphone Les Paul Standard. I’ve read reviews about it and it looks to be a good step up from the Special II. Amazon and MusiciansFriend both sell it for $429, compared to Gibson.com’s $832.
If you own or have ever played this guitar, what’s your opinion about it? Do you think it would be a good upgrade for an intermediate player like me?
Thanks so much!
By the way here’s a link to the guitar:

You can’t compare the Epiphone to the real deal. I have a few Gibsons and one Les Paul that dates to 1969. The gibson has a FAT sound with los of presence.
The Epiphone you are referring to sound really nice even on the high ends. I think you are going about it the wrong way. If you spent a few hundred on the Les Paul Special II, and now spend another $400 on the Les Paul standard,, that ould total close to $800.
WASTE OF MONEY. Get the real deal and save up. Otherwise, all the money spect on upgrades will amount to twice as much as the pruice of the real Gibson.
Take my advice. It will be well worth it and you will say …Left-T, you were right. Go for the kill.
