Should I get a Fender Telecaster deluxe guitar w/ humbuckers or a Gibson Les Paul Special w/ humbuckers?

Both electric guitars have humbuckers and got very good reviews (the Fender got better than the Gibson). The Les Paul costs about $760, maybe more and the Telecaster costs anywhere from $680 to $750, depending on the color, and I will probably get the more expensive color which will still cost less than the Les Paul. I am stuck between these two guitars and I know they are both great quality from well-known brands, but am looking for more points of view.

I would go with the Gibson all the way. The Telecaster is a great guitar but it has a very distinctive sound that really only works in a few musical genres. On the other hand, even though the Gibson has a distinctive sound as well, it is more versatile and sounds good in a wide variety of musical styles. You will get more millage and flexibility from the Gibson.
