Gibson epiphone custom?

Which is better the Gibson Les paul custom or the Gibson Les paul Black beauty with 3 pickups?
And I found a gibson les paul for like 800 and i found Epiphone Les paul black beauty for 800. Which is better?

Gibsons and Epiphones’s are both made to the same specs, just different standards and different manufacturing. Gibsons are American made with a more stringent QA and manufacturing process, while Epiphones are usually manufactured or assembled overseas with different QA processes.

I’m a Gibson owner (’71 reissue of the dual pickup ’54 Black Beauty) and can attest to their quality. However, the value lies with the Epiphone. Taking a Gibson LP Standard and comparing it to a Epiphone LP Custom, it’s pretty difficult to tell the difference on tape.

It comes down to your preferences: do you care what it says on your headstock (brand) and do you care where your guitar was made (buy American only)? Most importantly make sure you like the sound feel of the guitar you buy.
