gibson hummingbird

would i go wrong getting a gibson hummingbird acoustic guitar?
i already know the price and everything so please dont bug me about it, i just want to know if it would be smooth and easy to play and worth buying.
thanks:-)
The downside of getting the Gibson Hummingbird is getting bored because your fingertips will hurt and set it aside and not play it.
There are certainly worse guitars on the market, so the Hummingbird is a step up.
Lester is correct in that a Martin or a Taylor projects better volume and tone, but the Gibsons are known for a sharp attack on the treble side.
On a personal note, I enjoy the feel of a Gibson, but much prefer Martins and Taylors for tonal projection. I would never purchase a Hummingbird because it’s too gaudy for me. It appears that such a model is most attractive to female players, such as Emmy Lou Harris.
