What is the best best electric guitar for $2000 or less?
Im an intermediate guitar play. I play mainly rock, though i do play other things sometimes (blues, jazz, metal, classical).
I’m looking for famous brands, (Gibson..Fender..etc.) as I’m from a small town and guitar-center is the only thing around (so as long as I can find it in Guitar-Center, its good). Price range can be anything $2000 or cheaper (preferably cheaper). Right now I have around $1000 dollars, but I hope I will save up enough by the time I will get the guitar (July I think)
Any recommendations or things I should try avoiding? Also, please make it specific and not something general like ‘fender strat’.

Not going to kid you here. My wife would probably go through the roof if I brought home a $2000 guitar. With that being said here’s something to think about. How about two really good guitars that will pretty much cover all the music you like to play and last a lifetime.
I would suggest a Gibson Les Paul Standard. You can Hot Rod it with a multitude of hardware offered. Also get a Fender American Stratocaster. Both will offer a lifetime of use plus you can modify them endlessly as your tastes change.
