I’m a average guitar player. I used to play acoustic and classical guitars before, but no electric guitar.
Now I want to get a decent electric guitar. (budget = lower than 500$)
I want something versatile which can be used both as a rhythm guitar and a lead guitar. I’ll generally play punk (sum 41 , green day), some non-heavy rock, and songs like Muse’s.
Which guitar would you recommend?
I’m considering to check Epiphone Les Paul standard, fender standard stratocaster HSS and Epiphone G400.

In my opinion the best music stores around are “Long & McQuade”. They are so friendly and have so much knowledge. There are many of them all over, I believe there are a couple around the TO area.
