Is that the bridge should be a specific distance from the nut?
I'm working on building a guitar body lower zero and wondered if the bridge had to be a certain distance from the nut. My body design is a mixture of aero Gibson V and GS. I have a guard's neck and head money selection and other materials from a plane P-Bass Fender i use. All advice or information would be useful. I'm working on building a body bass guitar from scratch and was wondering if the bridge had to be one at some distance from the nut, and if so what is this dimension. The basic answer to your question is yes, but is a bit more complicated than that. The bridge should be placed so that the bases can be defined for intonation correct. When the feces are properly adjusted for intonation, they (the four) should average about half the range of adjustment on the bridge – is the best way to determine the "distance" of the bridge nut. Some of the feces (probably two) will be closer to the nut – some of them (probably two) will be more on the back cover. This makes for a good set-up. Check the intonation is to ensure that each channel has a higher octave note when fretted fret 12 on the relative aperture (not fretted). The way they define is to adjust the saddle is the part where the bridge actually in contact with the chain. If the 12th fret note is too high compared with, then the chair should be moved back (in the chain). If the 12th fret account is flat compared to the string air, then the saddle should be moved up (by the length of the shorter chain). These two instruments, you say that you design your bass (and Fender P-Bass that you say that your hardware) to use a bridge with individually adjustable saddles. There are height adjustments that must be taken to alleviate chafing. Deep the lowest possible fretless (hit string goods) password. information included in the link below. For a guitar, but applies to the bridge too low.
