Flying V Nitro Finish vs. Faded Flying V?
I was wondering if anyone could tell which is better, I am looking to buy a Gibson Flying V, but am not sure whether I should get the Faded Cherry Flying V, or The V with the Nitro(Nitrocellulose) finish. Can anyone give me any information to help me make my decision?
I believe Nitro was used back in the day for some finishes, and that also may be a factor in some older guitars having a great tone. I’m not a fan of the “Faded” thing, Gibson has a penchant for putting out new guitars that look old and worn , and at double the price! YOu should just opt for a standard white model , or the white / black Michael Schenker one is cool too.
