If i change my Exhaust on my truck, Will it improve my MPG and Horsepower?

I have a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder. I know that that Cold Air intake Systems can help improve Horsepower and MPG,But i have been also hearing that A Gibson Exhaust can help too, Does anybody have any input?

Ok. 1st of all, the 1st 2 guys that replied, in my HUMBLE opinion, have either never done a full build/rebuild of a drivetrain to get more power and mpg, OR, if they have, they either used parts that were either low quality, or perhaps parts that were not more or less suited to work in harmony, or perhaps some combination of those situations.
That being said, I have had both success and failure at finding that magical middle ground of more power/mpg. Without going into the gory details of THAT, I have found that a K&N cold intake system can boost power by anywhere from 5-15% or so, depending on what I’ve used them on. There are a LOT of makers of cold air intakes, I’ve used a bunch of them over the years. K&N in my opinion makes the best. Look it up. Now to your exhaust question. A high quality, free flowing exhaust is your best “bang for your buck”, hands down. More power for either going fast, or for towing, or for whatever, a cooler running engine, and, if you don’t go balls to the wall all the time, you SHOULD see a fair increase in fuel economy. Example? OK! My buddy had a 99 4runner v6 automatic 4×4. Nice truck, he used it as his unmarked police car. Mileage was fair, but it lacked oomph. I worked at the parts house he used, I ordered up a TRD supercharger and a Gibson cat-back exhaust. He got them put on, and he A: LOVED the power, B: HATED the sound of the exhaust and C: Got a nice increase in mileage. He ripped out the Gibson, and he had a custom mandrel bent system made, and used a Dynomax Ultraflo muffler. 2 1/4″ tubing, it came out really nice. Sounded the nuts, and that truck flew after that. 190hp advertised, the dyno showed about 166-170 to the wheels. After mods, he got a little over 245 to the ground. SO 70hp added and more mpg! WOW huh!
I can go on and on, but the bottom line is this. Do your homework before you order anything, and ask a lot of questions to any and all manufacturers you contact. Heck, you can add me to your list if you want and ask me more if you dare LOL
I’ll do all I can to help you.
