how different the sound of an epiphone sheraton II guitar is to the sound of a gibson es335?

I’m about to buy an electric guitar and I want to know how close in sound they are to each other, I see both of them have humbucker pickup’s, does this make’em sound more or less the same?

all in all, the first thing to realize is that a guitar only makes about a 15% difference in the final produced sound. the amp and whatever stomp boxes you may use will come into play. with that saod, depending on the wooden construction of the guitar, and pickups, with the chosen setting of tone1, tone2, and volume, its really all just up to you on how it will sound in the end.
pickups, are nothing more then just equipment that literally picks up the sound. some do it better then others depending on what style of music you would want to play. humbuckers are one of the finest, but like i said, it only makes about 15% of the difference. so in short, depending on the type of construction, pickups, and settings, both guitars will sound more or less the same.
