Epiphone les paul 100 dead b string?
Ok, here I’m again asking a question about my guitar. My three plain strings (especially the B string) has a dead sound, even with brand new strings. Have any idea what this shit is? I know that this guitar sucks. Hopefully getting a gibson lp studio faded in a few months, but until then I’m gonna have to manage with the guitar I have. So help please
I’ll upload a sound sample soon. Thanks
Gtarcsar, what do you mean strings put on incorrectly? The sound is dead unplugged as well so the only option is strings put on incorrectly. So how incorrectly? It looks correct to me.
Take the guitar into your local music store and let them take a look at it. It could be that the nut need to be re-slotted or that the strings were put on incorrectly. Do NOT adjust the truss rod as the other answer mentions, it is not the problem. You do not adjust the action with the truss rod. Other problems can be that the pickups are set to high. Make sure that all of the volume and tone controls are all the way up and that the amp has enough treble.
