What can atheists do about the barrage of anti-secularism that the Hollywood elite pushes on society?
Like Fred Thompson, Chuck Norris, and Mel Gibson?
Read all you can stomach and pay attention when one of them releases a movie. Once you’ve gotten a handle on the manipulation that’s going on for that film, find ways to (politely) insert it into conversation about the movie.
Mel Gibson’s -The Passion- was pre-screened for carefully chosen groups of Christians — Jewish leaders asked to see it, but were refused. So when the controversy that it was anti-Semitic started (hmm, who did that now?), reporters asked Jewish leaders for their opinions. All they could say was “I’ve heard that it is, but I haven’t seen it.”
The Gibson camp duly whipped that up into a hysteria of ‘the Jews hate us’ which got your pleasant, kind, mainstream Christians heading into the theatres in droves.
Read up, figure out what they’re really doing, and then TELL PEOPLE.
