Acoustic-Electric Guitar?

I am wanting to purchase an Ovation acoustic-electric guitar, can anyone tell me if this brand is good? I mean, I know it’s not of a Gibson quality, but I’m just beginning to play.

Yes, Ovation is very good, the 12 string has had problems with the main arm breaking, but otherwise is great sound quality. the Gibson has a different sound, so personal tastes might apply.
