gibson dirty fingers pickup
guitar HELP?
im having trouble with my guitar pickup
i went to plug it in and play and there is no bottom end coming from the guitar its fuzzy and all high i played another guitar through the same amp and it worked fine so i know its not the amp
im using a gibson sg with a gibson dirty fingers pickup i checked the wiring also and it is all connected properly it seems this guitar was working fine last time i played it
Check the wiring for the plug socket. There may be a short there. If that isn’t the problem then it has to be the pots or the selector switch since you said the pickups checked out OK.
I think guitarelectronics.com may have some info about troubleshooting electronics problems with your git.
Guitar Center usually sends out the guitars that people bring in to get fixed. Look in the phone book for a luthier or try to find a local music shop or local musician and ask them if they can let you know of a good place to take your guitar to get looked at.
