gibson classic plus

Can Gibson Pickups work with a cheap $150 guitar?
i want to buy some 57 classic plus pickups for my first act guitar and im wondering if they would even work on it…theyll fit but will they work?
If they physically fit into the guitar (and as previously posted they are wired correctly), then yes…they will work.
However, you’re about to spend more on pickups than your guitar is worth. And as my dad used to say, it’s like putting a flagpole on a condemned building.
A lot of a guitar’s sound comes from the wood and the hardware…not just the pickups. If you put 57′s on your guitar, it’s not going to be worth $400 now…you’ll still have a cheap guitar with expensive pickups on it.
If you really want to change them out, look at Seymour Duncans or DiMarzio’s instead. They both have their own versions of 57 PAFs at significantly less cost.
Good luck.
