Epiphone Les Paul Studio Deluxe?

Tomorrow I am buying an Epi LP. Now before anyone even talks shit, yes i know it is not a Gibson, because financially Gibson is out of the question. But anyways so i was thinking of putting in new pickups for the epi. Either dirty fingers or gibson burstbucker. What do you think? (my play style is more rhythm for diff kinds of rock.)

Congratulations on Epiphone. I know a lot of people bash them but after playing more than my fair share, I don’t think I would ever own a Gibson. Put a set of locking tuners on it (I prefer Grovers, but there is no right or wrong) set the action as low as you can get it for playing rock and change out the pickups. Actually, there is nothing wrong with the Epiphone pickups, but in this case, you really do get what you pay for. Any high end humbucker is great for pretty much any rock or rock influenced song ever written. I love the stock Gibsons from any SG model and also highly recommend TV Jones pickups, although you may have to make slight modifications to get them to fit. Do all that, put some heavy gauge strings on it and get it intonated and set up and you will have a guitar for life.
