what are some good acoustic guitar strings that i can buy at most guitar stores?

i just got a gibson maestro for christmas, and i like the guitar and all but the sound isn’t that great because of the strings. im looking for a good set of strings that i can find at most guitar stores for a reasonable price.

There are quite a few excellent string manufacturers. D’Addario, Ernie Ball and GHS are three of the largest, and you should have no problem finding them at any music store. You’ll want to see what gauge your guitar came with (or if it’s been set up for a different gauge). Most steel string acoustics are made to be used with light gauge (Or “12s,” referring to the size of the highest/smallest string), and typically phosphor bronze.
