Gibson Acoustic Guitars, are they actually acoustic/electric?
on the website, when it just shows an acoustic guitar does it have the ability to plug into an amp?
i’m just confused, because i’m relatively sure that gibson makes a acoustic/electric but i need to know because thats what i’m asking for christmas, and if i dont spell it out for the ‘rents they’ll more than likely screw it up.
also , to be more specific, i’m talking about the songwriter deluxe.
Not all Gibson guitars are acoustic-electric. Any guitar can have a pickup installed, which will make it able to plug into a PA or amp. An acoustic-electric comes with the pickup and electronics pre-installed. When you read the descriptions of the guitars, it will tell you if it’s acoustic-electric or not. If it doesn’t mention the word “electric” then it’s not.
The Gibson Songwriter Deluxe is an acoustic-electric. It has a pickup and preamp/controls built in. You just plug a cable into it, hook up to an amp and you’re good to go. It sounds like a nice $2199+ Christmas. Good luck.
